Abstract

Macao is famous for its booming gambling industry. The gambling industry plays an important role in the local economic system by creating huge revenue for the local government, therefore it leads rapid economic growth, society’s stability, and reversed the situation of economic recession in Macao before its return. We all know that gambling industry leads Macao’s economic growth, but a few people know the detailed information about gambling. In this text we will deeply study Macao's gaming industry by introducing the development of gambling, analyzing the its contribution to local economy, the potential problems it has, and the future strategies in solving the gambling’s problems to develop better.
